Civil Engineer and PhD in Transport Infrastructure from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM). He has held the position of Secretary General for Sustainable Mobility at the Ministry until now.

He has more than 20 years of professional experience in the mobility and transport sector and has developed his activity in consultancy, research and university teaching, assuming management positions at different levels.

At the University, he has been a professor of Transport Planning and Director of the Master's Degree in Civil, Canal and Port Engineering. He has been a researcher at the Transport Research Centre, a visiting researcher at the Politecnico di Torino and a visiting professor at the University of the West of England.

In the public administration, for four years, he was managing director of the Municipal Transport Company of Madrid (EMT) and, later, for another four years, manager of Valladolid Urban Buses (AUVASA). In addition, he is a member of the Advisory Council of the Spanish Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, a member of the European Committee of the International Union of Public Transport and a member of the Executive Committee of the Association of Collective Urban Transport.

He has published more than 30 articles in scientific journals and books related to mobility.

 

He holds a PhD in Engineering in Geodesy and Cartography from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, a Technical Engineering degree in Surveying and a master's degree in Leadership and Public Administration from the National Institute of Public Administration. He has been an associate professor for more than twenty years at the University of Alcalá and the Polytechnic University of Madrid.

After a first professional stage at Ferrovial, he joined the administration in 1998 as a Geodetic Engineer at the National Geographic Institute, where he has held positions of responsibility such as Head of the Cartography Area (2005-2009), Deputy Director (2009-2017) and, since 2017, Deputy Director General of Cartography and Observation of the Territory. He has been a board member of the European Federation of Engineers (2016-2023) and is a member of the BIM Technical Commission of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility and of the Interministerial Commission of the same name, among other positions of responsibility.

 

Civil Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. She began her professional career in the private sector as a consulting engineer at INYPSA (Informes y Proyectos, S.A.) in 1999. In 2001 she worked as a research engineer at the Centre for Ports and Coasts Studies of CEDEX. In 2002 she joined the Corps of Civil Engineers of the State, where she held the following positions: Head of the Pavement and Pavement Inspection Service of the General Directorate of Roads and Head of the Contracting and Budgets Area of the General Directorate of Land Transport in the Ministry of Public Works; Deputy Director of Planning and Sustainable Use of Water of the General Directorate of Water; Head of Contracting and Budgets and Head of the Projects and Works Area of the General Directorate of Sustainability of the Coast and the Sea in the Ministry of the Environment; and Advisory Member to the Minister's cabinet of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, a position she has held since 2018 to date. She is a member of the board of directors of INECO.

 

She has a degree in Economics from the University of Barcelona, a postgraduate degree in International Trade from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and a Master's degree in European Economic Policy from the London School of Economics.

She began her professional career in the foreign investment area of CIDEM (Generalitat de Catalunya, 2002) and as head of international trade in the meat industry employers' association (FECIC, 2003-2004). She continues her career in Brussels, where she was coordinator of multilateral trade policy at the European Commission's Directorate-General for Trade (2005-2012) and director of trade policy and international affairs at the European employers' association of the pharmaceutical industry (EFPIA, 2013-2018).

She moved to Frankfurt, where she joined the Goethe University Frankfurt as coordinator of European and financial affairs, a position she holds to date.

 

Engineer and PhD in Computer Science from the University of A Coruña. She is currently Vice-Dean of Social Impact and Academic Innovation and professor and researcher at the UPF Barcelona School of Management (Pompeu Fabra University), where she directs postgraduate programmes in data analytics and artificial intelligence.

Throughout her professional career she has worked in internationally prestigious institutions such as Yahoo Labs, the University of Glasgow and the Italian National Research Centre (CNR).

He has developed his career combining research and academic management with strategic advice in the field of technology, innovation and artificial intelligence. In this context, she has collaborated with national and international organisations, including the European Commission, the Presidency of the Government of Spain, the Hermes Foundation, the Xunta de Galicia, UNICEF and Ashoka, promoting projects and defining strategies for responsible adoption of technology.

 

Industrial Engineering degree from the School of Industrial Engineers of Bilbao and Technical Engineering degree from the School of Technical Engineers of Santander, with training in Business Management and Production, holding the following positions: General Manager of Renfe Engineering and Maintenance (5.5 years) and Director of LOGIRAIL. General Manager of Irvia Mantenimiento Ferroviario (a company jointly owned by Alstom and Renfe; 3.5 years). Area and Business Development Manager of Renfe Alquiler y Mantenimiento Ferroviario, S.M.E., S.A. (4 years). Director of Freight and Logistics Services at RENFE Ingeniería y Mantenimiento, S.M.E., S.A. and Director of the companies Btren Mantenimiento Ferroviario, S.A. and Erion Mantenimiento Ferroviario, S.A. Director of Material at Renfe Freight and Logistics (4 years). Director of Material for Long Distance Services (4 years). Manager of Train and Component Repairs at the Central Workshop of Valladolid (11 years).

 

He is a management and consulting executive with more than 20 years of experience in business transformation. He has combined roles on executive committees of large corporations with that of partner in international consulting firms, leading change programmes in Europe, Brazil, Latin America and the Middle East.

His career includes senior management positions as Chief Transformation Officer at Noatum (part of Abu Dhabi Ports Group) and Executive Consulting Partner at leading firms such as IBM Consulting and PwC.

He has managed P&L and promoted strategic initiatives in large companies in the travel and transportation, logistics, banking, retail and insurance sectors. He has solid experience as part of executive committees, reporting to the CEO. He has led both Digital Transformations and multiple corporate functions (IT, HR, Marketing, etc.) and has been responsible for the post-acquisition integration of companies within large inorganic growth strategies. He has led transformative projects to improve efficiency and growth, using technology, data and change management as key enablers.

With a solid international career, he has lived in Brazil, the United States and Belgium. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a master's degree from IESE Business School and is fluent in English, French and Portuguese.

 

He holds a bachelor's degree in Law and Economics from the Pontifical University of Comillas, ICADE E-3 (1970 – 1976) and a bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2018 – 2023).

He began his professional career at Banco Urquijo (1976 – 1984). He was part of Construcciones Aeronáuticas in the positions of Deputy Director and After-Sales Director (1984-2000). In 2000 he was appointed Senior Vice President Commercial of the Military Aircraft Division at EADS and in 2010 he was appointed Senior Vice President Commercial, Asia & Oceania at EADS/AIRBUS, a position he held in Singapore until 2016.

 

Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Barcelona. 

He has 20 years of service as a State Attorney, where he has held positions in the Barcelona State Attorney's Office (2004-2009), in the Ministry of Public Works (now Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility) and in the Spanish National Court. He served as director of the Legal Department and, later, as secretary of the Council of the National Commission on Markets and Competition (2013-2021). In 2022 he joined the FROB, where he served as legal director of the Executive Resolution Authority.

 

Holds a bachelor's degree in Community Law from the San Pablo CEU University and a diploma in Legal and Economic Studies of the European Union from the Sorbonne University (Paris 1). Also holds a master's degree in Business Law Studies from Centro de Estudios Garrigues.

Began a professional career in the private sector, working in law firms and later as a lawyer in commercial matters at Naturgy.

In July 2006 she joined Renfe Operadora, where she has held various positions as a lawyer in the General Secretariat and the Board of Directors in the legal-commercial and corporate operations areas.

She currently holds the position of Director of Legal Advisory for Subsidiary Companies and International Projects, also performing the functions of Secretary and Deputy Secretary in various companies of the Renfe Group and in its affiliated companies.
